ShoreNova is a coastal travel intelligence platform that combines live weather and ocean data with carefully researched travel information to help people plan better beach trips.
We track water temperatures, surf conditions, tide charts, rip current risk, UV index, and wind conditions for over 50,000 beaches worldwide - all in one place, for free.
Why we built it
Planning a beach trip used to mean checking five different websites - a weather app for conditions, a tide chart tool, a maps app for driving time, a travel blog for what to expect, and a hotel site to book.

Live weather and ocean conditions reflect current atmospheric and sea state at each beach's location. Actual conditions at the water's edge may vary due to local geography, currents, and microclimate factors.
Tide times are matched to the nearest official tidal station and may vary slightly at the actual beach. Historical water temperature data represents long-term monthly averages and may not reflect unusual seasonal patterns such as El Niño events.
Driving distances are estimates for planning purposes only. Always verify your route with Google Maps or a navigation app before you travel.
